Welcome to the Coney Island Lighthouse!

(40°34.6'N., 74°00.7'W.)

Located in the Sea Gate area of Coney Island, Brooklyn, the Coney Island Lighthouse was built in 1890 and is one of the oldest landmarks in Coney Island. The lighthouse is also called the Norton's Point Lighthouse, named after the tip of land that it sits on, which in turn was named after Mike "Thunderbolt" Norton who opened a pavilion there in the early days of Coney Island.
